Exclusive SWISS First Class Lounge

Zurich Airport has two First Class airports, one in Terminal A and the second one in Terminal E. The three sections feature large panoramic views of the airport tarmac and even the Alps. 

The two restaurants in the lounge offer 5 star-cuisine from the all day la-carte menu with a wide variety of beverages available on the bar. The lounge of Swiss First Class and Business Class  features an exquisite display of 1000 bottles of quality wines from around the world. If you are expecting a longer stay in the lounge then give the “Taste of Switzerland” which is a 5 course meal that changes depending on the season. With additional facilities, you can refresh yourself in the ensuite shower facility available in the two hotel day rooms which come with plush double beds from the luxury Swedish brand Hastens. People who want to utilise their time working by using complimentary WiFi, conference facilities and business suites with ample charging points.

Generous Baggage Allowance

The privileges of First Class do not end on priority check-in or lounge services. SWISS Air First Class passengers can also enjoy a generous baggage allowance without any extra baggage fees. Passengers can carry three checked baggage weighing up to 32 kg and two carry-on baggage weighing up to 8 kg each.

Seat Configuration and Facilities

Swiss operates Boeing 777-300ER and Airbus A330-300 and A340-300 aircrafts on long-haul flights. The airline has maintained a consistent colour scheme across all the cabin however, the First Class aircrafts features eight fully adjustable seats with lie-flat feature, set in 1-2-1 forward facing configuration. Though, the facilities across all the First class aircraft are uniform but Boeing 777-300ER features private suite first class with closing doors. The seats in Swiss First Class are relatively luxurious and have a pitch of 203 cm(80 inches), width of 55 cm(22 inches). The design and layout of the cabin is crisp and airy with white gloss surface and wooden accent. On  Boeing 777-300ER and the Airbus A340-300, the suite features walls tall enough to offer essential privacy to the passenger. 

The First Class Suite has ample storage beneath the ottoman. Apart from plenty of storage space, the seats are equipped with a USB port and IFE remote controller and a further seat controller in the side compartment.  Another smart design applied by the airline is the rectangular lamp that gives an aesthetic design to the suite.

Culinary Delights and Fine Wines

Swiss International Airlines First Class passengers are greeted by the crew with a hot towel, rosemary nuts, Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle Champagne. Further into the journey, First Class passengers will be offered an inflight la carte menu to choose from when the meal service begins. SWISS describes the inflight meal services as “The restaurant above the skies.”

The meal begins with a small amuse-bouche shortly after take off to tempt the taste buds for more delectable flavours. The meals will be served upon white linen with delicate yet stylish chinaware with silver cutlery. Every meal is prepared by the World-class chefs from the SWISS Cantons. All dishes are accompanied by a selection of regional cheese along with curated 2020 Pinot Merlot  red wine from Brunner winery. The highlights of Swiss Air First Class meal service changes frequently; however, passengers can enjoy the traditional Swiss cuisines along with other European delicacies.
